GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING

APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINES:

The Application Process:

  • The applicants fill out the application form.
  • Each National President priorities the list of the applicants from their National Organization.
  • Academy welcomes the accepted delegates and sends out the invitations with payment instructions after the 1st of May.
  • Registration is complete when payment is registered.

The Deadlines:

  • 15th of April: Application Closes – and the last date of application for guaranteed spots of every* JCI National Organization.
  • 28th of April: Last date for the National President to confirm their guaranteed nominees. After this point reserves will be invited if  extra spots are still available.
  • 2 weeks after receiving the invitation the registration needs to be completed, at the latest – if not, the price will increase by 500SEK and after additional 2weeks by 1000SEK and the spot may go to the next in line.

* Note: some JCI National Organizations might have their own deadlines, so please check with your National Organization!

Guaranteed spots: Every European JCI National Organization has a possibility to send at least three-five (3-5) delegates if the JCI National President has approved and nominated the applications by the 28th of April, and the maximum amount of delegates for any JCI National Organization is eight-ten (8-10) depending on extra available spots at the JCI European Academy 2024.

SCHEDULE OF THE ACADEMY:

  • Friday 09:00 – 12:00: Registration
  • Friday 13:00: Official Opening Ceremony (mandatory!)
  • Friday afternoon – Monday evening: Training, training, training
  • Monday evening: Graduation Ceremony & Gala Party
  • Tuesday: Departure after breakfast

PRICING:

An invitation with payment instruction will be sent by email (after 1st of May) to approved applicants.

  • Price: 6 250 SEK

The price covers everything during the JCI European Academy (food, training and accomodation).

CANCELLATIONS:

If you cannot participate in JCI European Academy, you need to inform us at the earliest convenience via mail: [email protected], subject: Cancellation.

You may cancel your participation if:

  • You cannot participate anymore because of your health condition, a medical certificate will be needed.
  • You are no longer allowed to travel to Sweden

For cancellation until June 30th, you will get a full refund (except bank charges).

Ensure your travel insurance covers the participation fee in case you are no longer allowed to travel to Sweden.

The EA team will look into a potential substitute by contacting candidates on the reserve list. Be aware though that the later cancellation the more difficult it is to find a substitute. The EA team can at no point give any assurance that a substitute can be found.

After 30th of June:
If a substitute is found, you will receive a full refund except of the administration fee (1.000 SEK).
If a substitute is NOT found, you will receive according to following tiers:

  • For cancellation before July 8th, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • For cancellation until July 22nd, you will receive a 25% refund.
  • For cancellation after July 22nd, no refunds.

Let us know about your situation (e.g. inability to get insurance coverage) and we will inform you about the refunds.
